Little girl falls over side of escalator after riding on dad's shoulders

DAD’S HORROR PLUNGE BLUNDER | Shocking video reveals why you should NEVER carry your child on your shoulders on an escalator --- Authorities are investigating the incident which left a three-year-old child fighting for her life *** POLICE are investigating the shocking moment a three-year-old girl riding on her father’s shoulders toppled over the side of an escalator. The horrific footage captured on CCTV in a shopping centre shows the dad carrying the happy tot who is wearing a distinctive red T-shirt. They disappear into the distance and the man then turns and starts to ride up the escalator. Moments later, the child is seen falling from the floor above and crashing onto the hard floor below. The poor child reportedly slipped off her father’s shoulders while the pair were on the moving stairs. The shocking incident happened in George Town, north-western Malaysia, where local media said the girl was in a critical condition and fighting for her life. According to medics at Penang Hospital, the little girl is in intensive care suffering from a cracked skull and massive internal bleeding. Local police chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said that the dad had panicked when he realised he was losing the girl and had tripped over himself. The officer added that the unnamed dad was being probed for exposing his child to physical harm which could even see him jailed for up to 10 years, or fined £2,000.
