Pictured: Father who died in Newquay tragedy

This is the first picture of the father who died after being swept out to sea with his two-year-old daughter. Rudy Brunynius, who has been named by a local newspaper as the man who died in Newquay, Cornwall, has been described as an ‘amazing person’ to know by a friend. Police are yet to formally identify the victim of the tragedy. His young daughter is fighting for her life after the family got into difficulty in the sea after being pulled out from Fistral Beach. Speaking to the West Briton, Madelein Jansen Van Noordwyk said: ‘Our children go to school together and my girls are the same age as her boys so they spend a lot of time together. | Metro News via IFTTT
