A guy took the perfect sunset wedding photo of a couple he’d never met
Mike Karas wasn’t hired as the official wedding photographer for a newlywed couple posing at Taft Point in Yosemite National Park. But when he saw the perfect sunset shot, he had to capture it. Mike had been hiking along a trail when he looked up to see the couple standing on a cliff ledge. He took a few photos and posted one on Instagram, where he asked his followers to help him track down the couple so he could send them the pictures he’d taken. A few days later, as his picture racked up shares, Mike was put in touch with the couple – Catherine and Rick. They had been posing for their photographer Derek Copenhaver and videographer Taylor McCutchan when they wandered into one of Mike’s sunset views. And voila. The moment was captured. That picture eventually made its way to the couple. An accidental moment became something beautiful. Mike is now sending Catherine and Rick some other photos he snapped of their time standing in front of the sunset, while they’re off enjoying their honeymoon.
