Live TV debate gets violent as politicians throw punches

We’re all probably quite used to seeing insults traded by politicians on live TV debates. But it’s not often (as in almost never) that those slanging matches actually boil over into full on fights. Yet, that is what happened on the Qvemo Kartli TV network in Georgia when parliamentary candidates Vepkhia Gurgenishvili and Polad Khalikov were pulled apart by producers. The extraordinary fist fight began after one of the candidates called the other ‘scum’ and threatened to ‘break a glass over his head.’ Then in a moment Harry Hill would be proud of he walks around the desk before trading punches with his opponent.
