Dad 'accidentally crushes his son to death in the supermarket'

CCTV video from a supermarket in China shows the pair holding hands while the boy is behind his dad. The pair seem to be playing as the father pulls his son along with him before tragedy strikes. The well-meaning parent loses his balance and trips backwards over the child – landing on top of his son’s head. Reports in China claim the boy’s neck was broken and that he died in hospital as a result of his horrific injuries. First aired on by the Guangzhou Broadcasting Network, the harrowing clip shows the boy lying motionless on the floor of the supermarket. A concerned woman helps the father off the poor lad and the pair try and resuscitate him. The distraught dad then tries to pick his boy up in a desperate bid to revive him but lays him back down when he realises he is unconscious.
