HOME DEFEAT David and Victoria Beckham FINALLY finish £8m home revamp… but now neighbours who were infuriated by the noise are getting their revenge --- Residents surrounding Posh and Beck's home are planning large-scale building work *** David and Victoria Beckham’s neighbours claim that they had to put up with rat infestations, ear-splitting noise and dirt while the superstars spent £8million over three years transforming their plush west London home. Now the work on the £31.5m eight-bedroom house is finally done SEVEN fed-up residents are getting their revenge with their own home revamps – flooding the Holland Park street with scaffolding, wooden fences and deliveries throughout the day. The Beckham’s home contains two dressing rooms and catwalk style runway. Other quirky features include a playroom, gym, spa area and salon-style room. One neighbour has started renovations that are expected to last three years, with: “Alterations to disabled access, including construction of Orangery extension at north-west corner of first floor; alterations and Installation of windows; removal of air conditioning unit and associated ducts and lowered ceilings”, according to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea planning website. Other homeowners are relocating kitchens, converting flats into single properties and building extensive extensions. Neighbours complained about tourists descending on the area to try and catch a glimpse of the celebrity couple. One told the Daily Mail: “People always drive by, even the cops, their head turns one way, what do they expect to see? He’s a footballer, move on, get a life.” The couple relocated to the UK in 2014 after footballer David retired from professional sport and continue to split their time between here and Los Angeles. After their return to England, fashion designer Victoria gushed: “You know, I’m so happy to be back in London, we all are. They also own a lavish six-bedroom pad in LA and recently put a holiday home in France on the market. The six bed property in the French village of Bargemon – which was dubbed Beckingham Palace-sur-Mer – is now on sale for a guide price of 2,750,000 Euros. | The Sun via IFTTT
