Dad-of-two Matt Doogue snapped the bizarre formation in the sky, which has since been likened to Thor’s hammer and ‘God breaking wind through the clouds’. The 31-year-old spotted the apocalyptic-looking cloud, which appears like a fist or ball pushing through the sky, above the Scottish town of Bathgate last Sunday. Despite being on the motorway when he spotted the doom-inspiring scene, Matt rushed home so he could take a picture and discovered the formation could be seen even clearer from his house. Matt said: “My wife Abigail could not believe it, as well as my two daughters who said it looked like Thor’s hammer. The Scottish sighting is not the first time the hand of God has appeared as a cloud this year. In January, weather blogger Rogerio Pachecho captured an almost identical ‘fireball’ cloud in Portugal. Holographic engineer Matt rushed to his camera and grabbed it out of the boot as soon as he arrived at his home. The photograph was the source of much hilarity with Matt’s friends and family, including his two young daughters, Amber, six, and Jasmine, eight, who both described it as Avengers superhero Thor hitting the clouds with his hammer. | The Sun via IFTTT
