STRUGGLING to find something to wear? Take your lead from this catwalk model and step out completely naked. The pink-haired muse shocked fashionistas in London by stepping onto the runway in nothing but a pair of fuchsia leather ankle boots and an enormous spaceship-inspired hat. The lean, porcelain-skinned beauty strutted confidently in front of the stunned audience who all scrabbled to get their phones to photograph her. Footage of the nude stunner, who featured in French wigmaker Charlie Le Mindu’s bizarre 2010 London Fashion Week presentation, has recently resurfaced online. The YouTube clip has received over 165,000 views and left social media users baffled. One wrote: “The combination of the hat and pink shoes, and oh, that bag – stunning outfit." Designer Charlie, whose creations are worn by Lady Gaga, was credited with breaking the last taboo in the fashion world by sending models down the catwalk in the buff. Just a week before the showcase, the 30-year-old outraged animal rights activists by unveiling a full face headdress made of real mice and rat carcasses. Asked if he was worried about the public’s reaction, he said: “It’s better to make them (the rodents) beautiful than give them to the snakes.” Born in deepest rural France, he studied hairdressing at Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy before turning to wigs and opening a studio in trendy Shoreditch in East London where he is now based.
