Baby dies after NASA employee leaves it in hot car

A baby was found dead in a hot car after a parent, who works at NASA, allegedly forgot to drop it off at childcare. The body of the seven-month-old was found in a car parked outside Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, on Wednesday where temperatures rose to the 90s. NASA spokeswoman, Jennifer Stanfield, told AL.com the parent intended to drop the baby off at the NASA location’s child care center, but forgot and went straight to work. Stanfield would not release the name of parent out of respect for the family. Federal agents are investigating the death because it took place on the grounds of a federal building. It is not clear if the parent will be charged. | Metro News via IFTTT
