Shocking video shows mum cheering as her son, 4, is thrown off a bridge
A mother has been filmed cheering as her four-year-old was thrown off a railroad bridge in Montesano, Washington. Shocking footage shows the moment the young child is hurled off the bridge as his mother looks on and cheers. The chilling sound of the boy smacking the water can be heard in the video. The boy, who screams as he plummets towards the water, was dropped from a height of 27 feet into the Wynoochee River, by a man his mother had just met. The pair, who have been identified as Jeremiah Goodwin and Taylor Richardson, have now been charged with reckless endangerment. Goodwin is also facing an additional charge of criminal trespassing in connection with the incident, which happened in late August. The incident was captured on video by 18-year-old Kaylub Fawley, who posted it to his Facebook page with the caption: ‘This is what happens when some parents just don’t care.’ The video has since been viewed more than 900,000 times. Kaylub whose been going to the River with friends for years to swim, told the Washington Post: ‘I looked up and was like, “Whoa, there’s a kid up there.” This guy just threw the kid right off the bridge, and he smacked down right on his neck.’ She added that the child nearly hit his head on a steel beam on the way down. When she spotted the mother cheering, Brianna said they all started ‘freaking out and yelling at her’, but she allegedly replied: ‘He’s my kid, and it’s none of your business’. Goodwin and Richardson claim they didn’t mean to harm the child, who was wearing a life jacket and was not injured, and said the boy wanted to be tossed into the river. They appeared in court on Wednesday and have since been released as they await for another hearing next month. Richardson’s other two children have been placed in foster care. | Metro News via IFTTT
