Hero lorry driver filmed helping schoolboy who was being bullied
A lorry driver is being praised after he stepped in to help a schoolboy who was being bullied and about to get his bike stolen. Sean Swan, 29, stopped his truck when he saw the boy in a choke hold while being punched repeatedly. He jumped out and ran over to help the boy in Wednesbury, West Midlands. The father-of-one said: ‘The young guy was being held from behind his neck in a choke hold while another lad sucker punched him – he had no means of defending himself. Sean can be seen in the footage, filmed on Wood Green Road, knocking one of the alleged attackers off the bike while another attacked the victim. Sean said: ‘While I was dealing with one guy the other thug, who was quite well built, was throwing the young lad around like a rag doll. The three alleged attackers eventually gave up and slunk off while Sean took the lad towards his lorry – at this point his friend, who had run off to get help, came back. Sean said: ‘He was white and shaking – the colour had drained out of him. He took two punches and had been held in a choke hold – he was very thankful that I helped him. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: ‘We have received a report and enquiries are underway.’ | Metro News via IFTTT
