Video shows man left with burned hair after forgetting to blow flaming sambuca shot

A party trick went horribly wrong for one man who was left with burnt eyebrows when he drank a flaming sambuca before the fire had gone out. In this video, shot in Morecambe, Lancashire, a man is being cheered on by his friends to try a shot of flaming sambuca. But he has forgotten on crucial detail of the shot - the flame should be out before it is drunk. His friends can be heard saying 'go, go, go' and he questions whether he can fit the glass in his mouth. He brings the glass to his mouth as his friends say 'do it now', but he may have quickly regretted being encouraged by them. With the flame not quite extinguished, he starts drinking, and his whole mouth is set on fire. He quickly spits out the liquid, which is still on fire on the bar, and slaps at his face to stop the flames. The reveler posted the video online with the comment: 'A party trick in which a flaming sambuca is drunk with the flame present went horribly wrong for me. 'Luckily only a small first degree burn on my face and very very short eyebrows.' Sambuca is usually set alight with the addition of three coffee beans, representing health, prosperity and happiness.
